Ingredients
- 1 pkg (16 oz) hot breakfast sausage
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 1 red pepper, chopped
- 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with garlic and onion, undrained
- 1 can (14. oz) chicken broth
- 3 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 bags boil in a bag white rice
Preparation
Step 1
In a large nonstick skillet, cook and crumble the sausage with onion and pepper over medium-high heat until no longer pink.
Stir in the diced tomatoes, chicken broth, Cajun seasoning, pepper and contents of rice bags; bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer covered until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender. About 8-10 minutes.
