Ingredients
- 1 c cornmeal
- 3 \4 c flour
- 1 tbsp. sugar
- 1 1\2 tsp. baking powder
- 1 1\2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 \4 tsp. salt
- 1 lg. eggs
- 1 1\2 c buttermilk
Preparation
Step 1
Preheat oven to combine425 degrees
In lg. bowl mix flour, sugar, baking soda, baking powder and salt
In a separate bowl mix eggs, buttermilk & butter
Pour buttermilk mixture into cornmeal mixture & fold together until there are no dry spots (batter will still be lumpy)
Bake until golden brown about 20-25 minutes
Remove and let cool for 10 minutes
