Ingredients

  • 3 cups flour
  • 1 TBS sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 pkg. yeast
  • 1 egg slightly beaten
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 can of solo apricot filling
  • powdered sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Sift flour, sugar and salt. Cut in shortening. heat milk but not boil and let cool. add yeast and let soften. add egg and vanilla. add to the flour mixture,mix well. cut into 4 equal parts. on powdered sugar roll out one part at a time. cut into 2 1/2 inch squares. place a 1/2 tsp of filling in the center and bring opposite corners together and pinch to seal. place on cookie sheet allow to set for 10 min. bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 min. cool completely and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
