Ingredients

  • 4 Lg tart apples
  • ¼ cup white or brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • Pastry for double crust pie

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 400˚

2. Peel and slice apples

3. Line the 9 inch pie plate with your favourite pastry and put the apples into it.

4. Sprinkle with the sugar and cinnamon.

5. Cover with pastry rolled out thin. Brush the top with cream and sprinkle with sugar.

6. Seal the edges well

7. Bake in 400˚ oven for 20 min

8. Reduce heat to 350˚ and continue baking for another 25 min. Or until the pie is done.

9. Serve with whipped cream or ice cream
