Ingredients
- 2 jars Schoures or Silverfloss sauerkraut
- 1 Tblsp. salt
- 1 tsp. pepper
- 1 crushed clove of garlic
- 5 large onions chopped
- olive oil
Preparation
Step 1
In saute pan, saute onions and garlic. Stir, and make sure garlic does not burn.
After onions are cooked, fill large pot with water, sauerkraut, salt and pepper, and onions. Cover and cook for 2 hours over medium heat. Taste, and if needed add a little sugar to cut the bitterness. Can add kielbasa to sauerkraut after fully cooked.
