  • Challah bread
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 8 large eggs
  • 1 3/4 cups milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • maple syrup for serving

Preparation

Step 1

Grease 13X9 pan with butter
slice the challah bread into cubes
In a small bowl combine brown sugar and cinnamon

Arrange half the cubed bread in pan
sprinkle 1/2 the sugar mixture over the bread
add second layer of bread and top with remaining sugar mixture


In a large bowl whisk 8 eggs. Add milk and vanilla extract, whisk
Pour egg mixture of the bread

cover with foil and refrigerate overnight or at least 4 hours

Heat oven to 350
bake covered 20 minutes
remove tin foil and back 30 minutes until golden brown

slice and top with Maple Syrup.
