Ingredients
- FOR THE GLAZE
- 2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp milk
- 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
- FOR THE CINNAMON SUGAR
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 2 tbsp packed brown sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- FOR THE FRENCH TOAST
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 thick slices bread of choice
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
Preparation
Step 1
Whisk together all the ingredients for the glaze. Set aside.
Whisk together all the ingredients for the cinnamon sugar. Set aside.
In a large bowl, whisk together french toast mixture of eggs, milk and vanilla extract. Coat sliced bread in egg mixture.
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add coated bread and cook evenly on both sides until golden brown. Remove from skillet and while still hot, coat french toast in cinnamon sugar.
Top with glaze. Serve
