Mom's Meatball Gravy

This is a red gravy to be used with Mom's meatballs

Ingredients

  • 1 28oz. can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 28 oz. can tomato puree
  • 1 6oz. can tomato paste
  • 3-4 can of the 6oz can of water
  • 2-3 cloves of garlic peeled and smashed
  • 1 Tbls. sugar
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • pinch of dried or fresh parsley
  • good pinch of basil or oregano

Preparation

Step 1

Add all to a large pot and cook over medium to low heat for about 1 hour or until sauce starts to thicken. Stir frequently.Add meatballs and simmer for about 1/2 hour.
Taste better on second day.
