Ingredients

  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp dry mustard
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp prepared horseradish
  • 2 cups salad oil
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 lb cheddar cheese, grated
  • 3 green onions, finely chopped

Step 1

Combine eggs, sugar, salt, mustard and Worcestershire in mixing bowl and beat with electric mixer 2-3 minutes. Blend in horseradish. Very slowly pour in ½ cup oil, beating constantly. Mix in vinegar and lemon juice alternately with remaining oil and beat 2-3 minutes longer.

Transfer to blender and mix until creamy, 10-15 seconds. Do not allow to become as thick as mayonnaise.

Combine cheese and onion in medium bowl. Pour first mixture over and blend well. Refrigerate until ready to serve.
