Ingredients

  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1 1\2 c sugar
  • 2 c flour
  • 1 1\2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 \2 tsp. salt
  • 1 c milk
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 (29oz) can sliced peaches in juice
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 \4 tsp. nutmeg

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Place butter in microwave safe mixing bowl
Heat butter until melted
Add 1 c sugar, flour, baking powder, salt & whisk to combine
Add milk & vanilla whickuntil combined
Pour batter into baking dish
Spoon peaches over top of batter, placing them evenly around the pan. Reserve juice
Add 1\2 c sugar, cinnamon & nutmeg to the juice, whisk to combine. Pour over peaches
Bake 55-60 minutes until golden brown
