Ingredients

  • 1 \2 c sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 4 cups fresh blueberries
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • 1 c flour
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 1\2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1 \2 tsp. salt
  • 3 tbsp. shortening
  • 1 \2 c milk

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 400 degrees
Blend 1\2 c sugar & cornstarch in medium sauce pan, stir in blueberries & lemon juice
Cook stirring constantly until mixture thickens & boils
Boil & is stir for 1 minute
Pour into ungreased 2 qt.
Keep fruit mixture hot in the oven while preparring bisquit
Measure 4 tbsp. sugar, baking powder & salt into bowl. Add shortening & milk.
Cut through shortening 6 times mix until dough forms a ball
Drop dough by 6 times mix onto hot fruit
Bake 25-30 minutes
