Grandma Evans Butterscotch Pie - Linda's file
An Evans Tradition
- 1 package dark brown sugar (1 lb box)
- 10 TBSPS melted butter
- 4 cups milk
- 4 egg yolks
- 8 heaping TBSPS flour (1 cup)
Preparation time 30mins
Cooking time 60mins
1) Mix sugar, flour, & melted butter
2) Stir and mix wll
3) Heat Milk and egg yolks- heated slightly Do not make milk get too hot, just warm keep stirring so eggs won't curdle.
4) Cook over low heat until it comes to a full boil and it is thickened.
5) Poor into a pre-baked pie crust and chill.
