Ingredients
- 1/3 cup balsamic vinegar
- 2 Tbl. honey
- 1 bay leaf
- pinch salt
- 1 cup mascarpone
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1 Tbl. sugar
- 1/4 tsp. vanilla
- 3 pints strawberries, quartered
Preparation
Step 1
Boil balsamic vinegar, honey, bay leaf, and salt for 4 minutes. Discard the bay leaf; let the syrup cool. Beat mascarpone, heavy cream, sugar, and vanilla with mixer until soft peaks form. Toss strawberries with half of balsamic syrup. Serve with the mascarpone mixture and the remaining syrup.
