Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 8 oz. raisins
  • 8 oz. walnuts
  • 8 oz. dates (otional)
  • 1/4 cup liquor (rum or brandy)NOTE: depending on preference, you can increase liquor to 1/2 cup of liquor

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees

Mix sugar and butter until well mixed. Mix dry ingredients together (floour, baking soda, cinnamon). Alternate eggs with dry ingredients (one egg at at time, then some flour) ending with flour mixture. Stir in raisins, walnuts, dates, and liquor. Mix well with spoon or spatula.

Lightly grease a cookie sheet. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake for 10-13 minutes or until lightly brown on bottom of cookie.
