Ingredients
- 3-4 smoked hamhocks
- l bag baby carrots (can be cut in half for smaller pieces)
- 1 small onion, diced
- 2-3 potatoes diced or cubed.
- I usually add 1 cup or more of barley - but then I like the barley and for us, the thicker, the better!

Preparation
Step 1
Put them all in the crock pot. Add enough water to almost fill the crock pot. Add salt and pepper to taste. The hamhocks usually provide enough salt, so I usually just add the pepper. Turn it on, and go for the day.
