Ingredients

2 cups sugar
1 cup cocoa
1 cup shortening
1 cup milk
2 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 tsp. salt
2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup boiling water

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 350 degrees

Grease and flour two round 8" pans

Add everything but boiling water in mixing bowl; SLOWLY add boiling water LAST. Beat for no more that 3 minutes.
Pour into prepared pans and bake for approx. 45 minutes
