Ingredients

  • Filling:
  • 1/4 lb. softened butter
  • 3 oz. cream cheese
  • 1 cup flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 1/2 cup pecans chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

Cream butter and cream cheese. Gradually add flour; do not over mix. Form into 1 1/4' balls and press into bottom of mini muffin tins. Sprinkle 1/4 cup of chopped pecans in the bottom each mini muffin tin.

Lightly beat egg. Cream the sugar and vanilla with the egg. Stir in the remaining 1/4 cup chopped pecans on top of tarts.

Bake at 350 degrees for 15-18 minutes. Reduce heat to 250 degrees for 10 minutes. Let cool for 20 minutes before removing from muffin tins.
