Ingredients
- Salad:
- 1 head boston lettuce
- 1 hothouse cucumber
- 1 pint cherry tomatoes, cut in half
- 1 small sweet onion, thinly sliced
- Marinade:
- 2 cloves garlic, peeled, minced
- 1 piece ginger (about 2 inches) peeled and minced
- 1 piece lemongrass (the pale stalk only) peeled and minced
- 1 T cilantro roots, washed and minced - optional
- 5 T sugar
- 1 tsp. ground pepper
- 1/2 cup fish sauce
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juices
- finishing Layer:
- 1/2 cup fresh mint leaves, torn
- 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves
- 1/2 cup coarsely chopped dry roasted peanuts

Preparation
Step 1
Grill steak
Arrange lettuce on plate and top with cucumber, tomatoes, and onion.
thinly slice steak and add hot slices to the bowl with the after thai marinade.
Arrange beef on lettuce and top with finishing layer.
Top with peanuts
Marinade:
Place garlic, ginger, lemongrass in bowl. Sprinkle the sugar and pepper on top and mash well with the back of a spoon., Add the fish sauce and lime juice and whisk to mix.
