Mint Brownies

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 4 squares unsweetened chocolate
  • Melt butter and chocolate together.
  • Add: 2 cups sugar. Mix together.
  • Add: 4 beaten eggs. Mix well.
  • Add: 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Mix until just blended together. Put in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350° for 20-25 min.
Cool and refrigerate. Frost with mint frosting, chill or freeze about 30 minutes and frost with “Perfectly Chocolate” Chocolate Frosting.

“Perfectly Chocolate” Chocolate Frosting

½ cup butter 3c. Powdered sugar 1 tsp. vanilla
2/3 cup cocoa 1/3 cup milk

Melt butter. Stir in cocoa. Alternately add powder sugar and milk, beating on med. speed to spreading consistency. Add more milk if needed. Stir in vanilla. About 2cups frosting.

Mint Frosting

2 c. powdered sugar
2 T. milk
3 drops green food coloring
½ c. butter
½ tsp mint flavoring Beat together. Spread over cooled brownies. Chill for 30 minutes or freeze for a few minutes. Frost with “Perfectly Chocolate” Chocolate Frosting.
