BREADED NOODLES WITH SAUERKRAUT

  • 1 lb. pasta, cooked
  • 6 tbsp. butter
  • 1 cup onions, chopped
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 lb. sauerkraut, drained
  • 1 tsp. paprika
  • 3/4 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup French fried onion bits
  • Sour cream for garnish

Directions
1. Cook pasta according to directions, drain and set aside.
2. Heat half of the butter over medium heat in Copper Chef 9.5” square pan.
3. Sauté the onions, salt and pepper for 2 min., then add the sauerkraut and paprika. Stir and cook on medium heat until golden brown, about 15 minutes (add ¼ cup water if it gets too dry). Lower heat to keep warm.
4. To the Copper Chef skillet, add the remaining butter. Melt on medium heat, then add the breadcrumbs and stir for about 2 minutes incorporating all of the butter. Be careful not to burn the butter.
5. Add the pasta to the sauerkraut pan, and fold to incorporate.
6. Next, add the breadcrumb mixture and fold to incorporate.
7. Top with French fried onion bits and a dollop of sour cream, if desired.
