Ingredients
- 4 C sliced okra
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. pepper
- 1 C buttermilk
- 3/4 C cornmeal
- 1/4 C flour

Preparation
Step 1
Wash and drain okra cut into 1-inch slices. Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Cover with buttermilk and let stand 1 hour or until milk is absorbed. Mix cornmeal and flour together and dredge the okra in cornmeal and flour. Fry in hot oil until golden brown. Drain on a paper towel.
