Ingredients
- Granny’s Salisbury Steak
- 1 1/2 lbs ground beef
- 1 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 cup cooked rice
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 egg
- 1 3/4 cups sliced fresh mushrooms
- 2 Tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 3 cups beef broth
- 3 Tbsp water
- 2 Tbsp cornstarch
Preparation
Step 1
Form patties of gr. Beef, onion, rice, pepper and egg. Sear on both sides in hot skillet. Remove and set aside. In same skillet sauté mushrooms until slightly tender. Add Worcestershire, salt and broth to mushrooms. Combine water and cornstarch and stir in skillet. Once sauce begins to simmer add beef patties back into skillet. Simmer together about 15 minutes, sauce should reduce by half and be thickened as gravy.
