Cantaloupe Granita

Ingredients

  • 1 cup cantaloupe juice
  • 4 Tablespoons sugar
  • 2 Tablespoons lime juice

Step 1

To make the cantaloupe juice, cut a cantaloupe wedge, seed it, then cut into chunks, minus rind. Place the chunks into a blender container, along with any juice from the cutting board. Blend chunks until you have about 3 cups of liquid. In a small bowl, dissolve the sugar in the lime juice, and add the cantaloupe juice. Pour into a covered freezer container, and freeze for at least 2 hours. To serve, use a tablespoon to scrape off layers of the granita into individual serving bowls.
