Chocolate Chip and Toffee Cookies*

By

I’m super excited to share these amazing cookies with you today! They are nice and chewy on the inside, while remaining slightly crispy on the outside. Not only are they studded with semi sweet chocolate chips and toffee pieces, but have grated Hershey Chocolate bar rolling through the dough as well. The chocolate bar gives them an amazing texture, while revving up the chocolate flavor. Hope you get a chance to try them. I’m pretty sure your family will go crazy over them. ? My family loves them!

Ingredients

  • 1 C butter, softened
  • 2 C brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 Tb milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 3 1/2 C flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 C semi sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 C toffee pieces
  • 4 (1.55 ounce) Hershey Chocolate bars

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
2. Into your stand mixer or large mixing bowl, place the butter and brown sugar. Cream them together for 2 minutes. Add the eggs and cream for an additional 2 minutes. Add the vanilla and mix until combined.
3. Into a separate bowl combine the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Add the dry ingredients to the creamed mixture. Mix to combine.
4. Add the semi sweet chocolate chips and the toffee. Mix to combine.
5. Use a cheese grater to shave the chocolate bar into thin pieces. Add them to the dough and mix just until combined. Make sure not to over mix, you want the grated chocolate to be incorporated into the dough with out breaking up too much.
6. Roll the dough into 1 1/2 inch balls and place on cookie sheets that have been sprayed with cooking spray.
7. Bake for 7-8 minutes or until the top of the cookies crack. Make sure not to over bake. They will stay nice and chewy for you if you under-bake them just a bit. Remove the pan from the oven and allow the cookies to finish baking on the hot sheet for a couple of minutes.
Enjoy!
