No Bake Chocolate Energy Balls

Ingredients

  • 1 cup old fashioned oats
  • 1/3 cup ground flax seeds
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened all natural cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1/2 cup all natural peanut butter or other nut butter
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/3 cup mini dark chocolate chips
  • 1-3 tablespoons of liquid if needed to form the balls (almond milk, coconut milk, milk, water)

Preparation

Step 1

1. Stir the dry ingredients in a bowl (pats, flax, cocoa and chia). Next in a small separate container mix the wet (peanut butter, honey and vanilla extract). Make sure the wet ingredients are mixed well.
2. Pour wet ingredients into the dry and mix with your hands to check for texture.
3. Add in the chocolate chips and mix. If the dough is too dry and crumbly, add a tablespoon of liquid. If not, roll and form dough into balls.
4. Place in a container in the fridge for at least thirty minutes before eating.
5. Store in the refrigerator.
