Short Ribs - Crock pot style

Ingredients

  • 1 pkg boneless short ribs (about 5 pieces)
  • fajita seasoning
  • flour
  • olive oil
  • onion, coarse chop
  • garlic, large chop
  • 1 t (scant) beef base
  • 1/4 c water
  • 1/2 c red wine
  • 1/8 c Sweet Karen Sue BBQ sauce
  • 5-10 small whole mushrooms

Preparation

Step 1

Ribs: pat dry, season, flour, and brown in hot pan with olive oil.

Heat water and dissolve beef base. Add wine and BBQ sauce.

Place the ribs and juices in the small crock pot, layered with onions and garlic. Add liquids.

On High for about 6 hours. Add the mushrooms after 4-5 hours.
