Garlic Pepper Potato Rolls

Ingredients

  • 1

    egg

  • 3

    tbsp milk

  • ½

    cup mashed potatoes

  • 2

    tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1

    tbsp sugar

  • 2

    cloves garlic, minced

  • ½

    tsp fresh-ground black pepper

  • 1

    tsp salt

  • 2

    cups bread flour

  • tsp yeast

  • 2

    tbsp milk

Directions

Put all ingredients except milk in bread pan in order suggested by your bread machine instructions. Set for white bread, dough stage. Press Start. Lightly oil an 8- or 9-inch square pan. When dough is ready, remove from bread machine and punch down. Cut smaller recipe into 8 to 12 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball - it does not have to be perfectly round. Place balls about 1/2 inch apart in baking pan. Cover loosely and set in a warm place to rise until doubled, 45 minutes to 1 hour. Preheat oven to 375°E Lightly brush tops of rolls with milk. Bake 12 to 15 minutes, until rolls are golden and a skewer inserted in roll comes out clean.
