Irish Soda Bread Bread Machine

While at first you may wonder about the caraway seed or raisin combination, once you've tried it, you'll be hooked.

Ingredients

• for large machine
• 1 1/3 buttermilk
• 3 tablespoons butter
• 2 1/2 tablespoons sugar
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1 tablespoon caraway seeds
• 3 1/2 cups bread flour
• 2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
• 1/2 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Place ingredients in bread machine in order that they are listed, up to the raisins which should be put in following first kneading.

Machine should be set on sweet or basic cycle
