Ingredients
- 1 cups applesauce
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon grated ginger or 1/4 tsp.ground ginger
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 yellow onion, sliced into rings
- 4 thick center cut pork chops
Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 350. In a bowl, combine the applesauce, sugar, soy sauce, garlic and ginger; mix well and pour into a (greased with Pam) 13" X 9" X 2" baking dish.
2. In a skillet, melt the butter. Saute the onions for about 5 minutes or until soft add the pork chops. Brown pork chops on each side.
3.When browned on both sides, place pork chops and onions over the applesauce mixture.
Bake, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 20 minutes. Turn the pork chops and cook for another 20 minutes or until meat is done
