Ingredients

  • Refrigerated French bread dough

  • Deli roast beef

  • cheese slices ( I used swiss )

  • onion sliced

  • bell pepper sliced

Directions

Spray the inside of a hot pie iron with cooking spray. Cut dough to fit in iron. Add roast beef, cheese, onion and peppers and lay another piece of dough on top. Close the iron and put in the coals until bread is roast toasty brown. Check often so it doesn't burn. Cooking slow and letting the pie iron sit after taking off coals for a few minutes as it remains hot for awhile seemed to help ensure the dough was cooked through.
