Ingredients

  • 3 C flour
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 3/4 C Cold shortning
  • 3/4 C cold salted butter
  • 1 lightly beaten egg
  • 5 Tbls water

Preparation

Step 1

In a food processor add flour, salt, shortening and butter.

Pulse to combine until mixture resembles peas.

Add egg, pulse to mix, then while the processor is running slowly add water one tablespoon at a time, until a ball is formed.

Divide dough in 2 balls, flatten into a discs, wrap each in plastic wrap and chill for at least one hour.
