Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 c soft wheat all purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 t baking pwder
  • 1/2 t sugar
  • 6 T cold butter, cut into pats
  • 1 c shredded extra sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 T minced fresh dill
  • 3/4 c milk
  • 1/4 c butter, melted

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray a baking sheet with non stick cooking spray. In a med bowl, combine flour and next 3 ingredients. Using a pastry blender or 2 forks, cut in butter until mixture is crumbly. Stir in cheese and dill. Gradually add milk, stirring until dry ingredients are moistened.

On a lightly floured surface, gently knead dough 5 times. Pat dough to 3/4" thickness. Using a 3" round cutter, cut dough, rerolling scraps as needed. Place biscuits on prepared pan.

Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden brown. Brush with melted butter. Serve warm.
