Ingredients
- Sofrito (all ingredients chopped)--makes 1 cup:
- 3 oz. vegetable oil
- 1/2 can gandules
- 1 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce
- 2 envelopes sazon with culantro & achoite
- 1 envelope ham flavoring
- 1 teaspoon chicken bouillon
- 4 oz. smoked ham, cut in squares and fried until browned
- 3 oz. green olives stuffed with pimento plus all the liquid
- 1 teaspoon Adobo seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoons ground pepper
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 3/4 teaspoon salt

- 1 small yellow onion
- 1 medium green pepper
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 bunch Chinese parsley
- ...........................................
- 4 cups medium grain rice
- 3 cups water
Preparation
Step 1
In a large pot Mix and Cook all ingredients. Bring to a boil and simmer for one hour to one hour and a half. Stir every 15 minutes while cooking.
