- 8 c water
- 8 black tea bags
- 2 c lightly packed mint leaves (about 2 nice bunches) divided
- 1/2 c superfine sugar
- 1/4 c fresh lime juice
- 1 T finely grated lime zest

Step 1
Bring water to a boil in a pan and add teabags. Let steep for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags and squeeze them to extract tea. Add 1 cup mint leaves to the tea and let stand about 1 hour.
Meanwhile make an easy lime syrup by combining sugar, lime juice and lime zest in a bowl. Stir to dissolve the sugar. Remove the mint for the tea. Pour lime syrup into tea and stir well. Pour into a pitcher or serve in ice filled glasses. Crush mint leaves and put in glasses with ice and top with sliced limes.
