GREEN BEANS****Green Beans with Almonds and Parsley (Actifry)

20/05/17 - Michael sent me this recipe. It was decent - I served it at room temp because Andria was here and I was making potatoes in the Actifry as well. I think I'd like to try it hot. This is also too many almonds - 1/4 cup would be plenty.

Ingredients
- 3/4 lb fresh green beans
- 1/2 cup slivered almonds (not sliced)
- 1/2 ActiFry Spoon olive oil
- 1/4 tsp finely grated lemon zest
- 1 ActiFry Spoon fresh lemon juice
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley leaves
- Salt and freshly ground
- Black pepper, to taste
Preparation
Step 1
Wash and trim the green beans and cut them on the bias into 1 inch pieces. Put the almonds into the ActiFry pan and cook for 3 minutes.
Add the green beans to the pan and drizzle with the oil. Cook for an additional 7 minutes, until the beans are crisp-tender.
Transfer the green beans and almonds to a serving bowl. Add the lemon zest, lemon juice, and parsley and stir to combine. Season with salt and pepper. Serve warm or at room temperature.
