Ingredients
- Pork Roast:
- 4 lbs. pork butt
- Head of fresh Garlic, grated (not minced or chopped)
- 1 1/2 cups water
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/2 cup sherry wine
- 2 tbsp. oil
- Sauce:
- 2/3 cups shoyu
- 1/2 cup miso
- 1 1/4 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp. ginger, grated
Preparation
Step 1
Rub grated garlic all over pork butt then cover with flour.
Heat the oil in a large pot and brown pork evenly. Add water and sherry to pot and cook on medium heat for 1½ to 2 hours. Drain all liquid from pot and discard.
Combine sauce ingredients and mix well, then add to pot and cook on medium heat for 1 hour.
Serve with rice and enjoy!
