Ingredients
- 1 qt. clams
- 11/2 cups cold water
- 1/3 c. butter
- 1/2 onion
- 1/3 c flour
- 2 c cream
- 1 c stewed and strained tomatores
- 1/8 t soda
- Salt and cayene

Preparation
Step 1
Pour water over clams, then drain. To water add hard part of clams. Heat slowly to boiling point, cook twenty minutes, then strain.
Cook buter with onion 5 minuts. Remove onion, add flour and gradually clam water. add cream, clams as soon as boiling point is reached. Then add tomatoes to which soda has been added
