Hot Brown Bacon Mac & Cheese with Mornay Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 lb elbow macaroni or curly pasta
  • 1/3 c bacon (cooked & diced)
  • 1/2 c turkey breast (diced)
  • 1/4 c Parmesan cheese
  • 2 T diced tomato
  • 2 c Mornay sauce
  • Mornay Sauce
  • 3 T butter
  • 3 T flour
  • 1 T onion (chopped)
  • 1/2 t salt
  • 1/8 t white pepper
  • 1 c chicken broth
  • 1/2 c light cream
  • 1/2 c Parmesan cheese
  • 1/2 c Swiss cheese

Preparation

Step 1

For sauce: Melt butter in pan over med low heat. Add onion; cook until wilted. Whisk in flour, salt & pepper. Gradually whisk I chicken broth & cream. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly for 5 min. Add cheeses, stirring until melted.


Cook pasta al dente per pkg directions, strain, cool in cold water & place in LG mixing bowl.

Add turkey, 1/4 c bacon & Mornay sauce; mix ingredients well. Place contents of bowl into Casserole dish. Top with remaining bacon, tomato & Parmesan cheese.

Bake in oven tat 350 for approximately 25 min.
