Ingredients
- 18 blue crabs
- 1/4 cup old bay
- 1/4 cup kosher salt
- 1 1/2 cups beer (2 - 7oz beer)
- 1 1/2 cup distilled white vinegar
- 1/8 cup old bay
Preparation
Step 1
-combine ¼ cup old bay, kosher salt, beer and vinegar in a large steamer pot on high heat and bring to a strong simmer.
-knife the crabs upside down thru the shell just behind the mouth.
-layer the crabs over the steamer screen in the pot. cover.
-steam crabs until bright orange, 20 to 30 minutes. sprinkle with the remaining ⅛ old bay. serve!
