Basket Of Salmon With a Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

  • Sauce:
  • 8 Salmon fillets
  • Puff pastry
  • 1 Beaten egg
  • 1/3 cup Mayonnaise
  • 3 Tbsp Mustard
  • 2 Tbsp Vinegar
  • 3 cloves Minced garlic
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1/2 Tbsp Sugar

Preparation

Step 1

1. Combine all sauce ingredients (taste and adjust the seasoning).
2. Spread the sauce on the salmon, on all sides.
3. Transfer the coated salmon to a pan lined with baking paper.
4. Open the puff pastry (don’t roll it out) and with a lattice cutter cut out a lattice.
5. Open up the dough and spread it over the salmon. Tuck the ends underneath.
6. Carefully brush the beaten egg over the dough.
7. Bake @ 400 for 25 minutes or until the dough turns golden brown.
8. Serve with leftover sauce
