Linguine and White Clam Sauce

Ingredients

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 3 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pinch crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tbsp old bay seasoning
  • 3 cans chopped clams, with juice
  • 1 tsp fresh parsley
  • parmesan cheese (optional)
  • 1 lb linguine or thin spaghetti

Preparation

Step 1

-In a 5 at pot, heat water to a boil and cook pasta until all dente
-While the pasta is cooking, melt butter and olive oil in a pan
-Sautee onion and garlic, and add crushed red pepper flakes
-Add lemon juice, oregano, basil, and old bay seasoning. Stir for one minute. Add class with juice
-Simmer for 5 minutes
-Drain pasta and place in a large bowl-Cover pasta with clam sauce, stir well and top with fresh parsley (and optional cheese)
-Serve!
