M&M Cookie Bars

Ingredients

• 2 1/8 cups flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1 1/2 sticks (12 TBSP) butter, softened
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 1/2 cup white sugar
• 2 eggs
• 2 tsp vanilla
• 2 cups M&M candies, divided

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease 9 x 13 baking dish.

In a mixing bowl, lightly whisk flour, salt and baking powder. Set aside.

In another mixing bowl, beat butter, brown sugar and white sugars until fluffy.

Add in eggs, vanilla and mix well.

Slowly add in flour mixture. Mix all until well combined.

Fold in 1 cup of M&M candies.

Spread dough evenly on to the bottom of prepared pan.

Sprinkle remaining cup of M&M candies on evenly on top of dough. Press lightly.

Bake bars for 30-35 minutes or until lightly brown.

Cool completely before cutting.
