- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup confectioners sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 4-1/2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cream of tartar

Step 1
In a large bowl, beat the butter, oil and sugars. Beat in eggs until well blended. Blend in vanilla. Combine flour, baking soda and cream of tartar; gradually add to creamed mixture.
Drop by small teaspoonsfuls onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake 375 degrees 8-10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove to wire racks to cool. Yield: about 5 dozens.
