Bisquick Pudding Cake
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1 1/2 cup Bisquick baking mix
- 1/2 cup chopped nuts, if desired
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 cup hot water
- 2/3 cup sugar
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Heat 1/3 cup chocolate chips over low heat until melted.
Mix melted chocolate, baking mix, nuts, 1/3 cup sugar, milk, oil, vanilla and egg in square 9 x 9 x 2 inch pan. Beat vigorously with fork until well blended.
Heat water and 2/3 cup sugar to boiling, stirring occasionally; stir in remaining chocolate chips until melted. Pour over mixture in pan.
Bake until wooden pick inserted in center of cake comes out clean, about 35 to 40 minutes.
