Crab and Broccoli Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thin spaghetti
  • 2 T olive oil
  • 1 small onion, sliced
  • 1 sweet red pepper, sliced
  • 1 bunch of broccoli, separated into flowerlets
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 2 c half and half
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/2 t tabasco
  • 1 lb crab or imitation crab, shredded
  • lemon as garnish

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cook spaghetti, according to package
2. Heat oil in large skillet over med-high heat. Add onion and red pepper Cook red pepper. Cook 3 minutes. Add broccoli and garlic. Cook 5 minutes, stirring some until tender
3. Heat half and half and butter in small pan (or heat in pyrex in microwave). Stir in cheese, salt and Tabasco
4. Add cream mixture to skillet. Add crab. Heat through on medium heat. Toss with cooked, drained pasta.
Garnish with lemon
