New Orleans Barbeque Shrimp

Helen's recipe " For us, I fixed 2 lbs shrimp and all of this sauce recipe. We had two meals from it. It reheats great in microwave. Kept well a day or two according to recipe. Have plenty of napkins!"

Ingredients

  • 4 lb unpeeled large fresh or frozen shrimp.
  • 1/2 c butter
  • 1/2 c olive oil
  • 1/4 c chili sauce
  • 1/4 c Worcestershire sauce
  • 2 sliced lemons
  • 4 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 2 T Creole (or McCormick's Cajun seasoning)
  • 2 T lemon juice
  • 1 T chopped parsley
  • 1 t paprika
  • 1 t oregano
  • 1 t ground red pepper
  • 1 t tabasco
  • French bread

Preparation

Step 1

Put shrimp in foil-lined broiler pan. In saucepan, heat all of the rest of ingredients (except French bread). When butter melts, pour over shrimp. Cover and chill 2 hours. Turn so all get 'sauced.'
Bake, uncovered, at 400 for 20 minutes. Serve with French bread.
