  • 8 oz Havarti or domestic Muenster cheese
  • 2 lg cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 3 to 4 T mayonnaise
  • 1 T snipped fresh chives
  • pinch of salt (optional)
  • black bread if you like



Step 1

Shred cheese into a medium bowl. Add rest of ingredients except for the bread. Mix well to combine, then taste and adjust the seasonings. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours. Before serving, return to room temperature. Serve on squares of bread.
