Mexican Casserole

  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 diced onion
  • 1 pkg Taco seasoning in 3/4 c water
  • 1-16 oz. can refried beans
  • 1-8 oz. can tomato sauce
  • 2 cans crescent rolls
  • 2 c grate sharp cheddar cheese
  • picante sauce
  • sour cream
  • chopped lettuce



Step 1

Brown beef and onion. Dissolve seasoning in water. Then stir into meat with beans and tomato sauce. Heat and stir.
Roll out crescent rolls (8 rolls in a pan). Pour hot meat mixture on. Sprinkle grated sharp cheddar on. Roll another can of rolls out and pace on top of cheese. Bake 20-30 minutes until light brown. Top with picante sauce, sour cream and chopped lettuce. This makes so much, I baked it again later in the week and it was fine. I've frozen some, but haven't baked them yet.
