- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 cups peanuts
- 1 tablespoon butter, plus more for greasing
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons baking soda

Preparation
Step 1
Grease a large baking sheet with butter and set aside. In a large skillet over low heat, combine the sugar, corn syrup, and water. Cook until mixture reaches 230 degrees on a candy thermometer. Stir in peanuts and continue cooking until the mixture reaches 300 degrees. Remove from heat and stir in the butter, vanilla, and baking soda. Pour onto the prepared baking sheet, spreading as thin as possible. Once cooled, break into pieces. Store in an airtight container.
