Honey-Glazed Ginger Nuts

Ingredients

  • 1 pound raw unsalted nuts (almonds, hazelnuts, pecans, or a mix)
  • 1 //3 c honey
  • 1 tsp coarse salt
  • 1 TBS oil
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla
  • 2 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350'. On a rimmed baking sheet, scatter nuts. Bake 10 minutes, stirring halfway through.

2. In a large heatproof bowl, toss nuts with honey. Add salt and stir. Line a separate baking sheet with parchment paper. Using your hands, grease paper with oil. Pour nuts onto paper and stir to coat with oil.

3. Allow nuts to cool, stirring 2 to 3 times in the first 20 minutes. Add vanilla, ginger, and garlic powder,; stir.; and allow to cool completely.
